Mumbai: Actor Shahid Kapoor and actress Kareena Kapoor’s 2007 film, Jab We Met, is still a favorite among fans. Now, news has emerged that director Imtiaz Ali will soon be making a sequel. He recently spoke about the film’s sequel.

While talking to the media recently, Imtiaz Ali was asked about the modern version of the film Jab We Met, he said, “At this age, I think it could be Vedang Raina and Sharvari Wagh, because they are very young and have that streak that they can play the same character.” This answer from the director seems to indicate that a sequel to Jab We Met is coming soon. In which Vedang Raina can play Aditya and Sharvari Wagh can play Geet.

Meanwhile, director Imtiaz Ali has announced his next project, the title of which hasn’t been decided yet. Diljit Dosanjh will star in the lead role, along with Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari Wagh.

Released in 2007, the film Jab We Met had a budget of 15 crore rupees. The story resonated so much with the audience that it grossed 48.61 crore rupees worldwide. The film has a rating of 7.9 on IMDB. Shahid played Aditya and Kareena played Geet. The film was a massive hit. People still love every dialogue and song from the film.
