Earlier, addressing the Israeli Parliament (Knesset), Prime Minister Modi condemned the Hamas attack on Israel. He said, “We understand your pain. India has long suffered from terrorism. India stands with Israel.” Modi said, “The killing of civilians for no reason can be justified, and terrorism can never be justified.” He said, “India has also suffered from terrorism for a long time. We remember the November 26 Mumbai attacks, in which many innocent people, including Israeli citizens, lost their lives. Like you, India also has a strong policy against terrorism and there are no double standards.”

Speaking in the Israeli Parliament, PM Modi said that the UNSC-endorsed Gaza Peace Initiative offers a way forward. India has strongly supported this initiative. He said, “We are confident that this initiative can bring justice and lasting peace to all the people of the region, including the Palestinian cause.” He said that all our actions must be based on wisdom, courage, and humanity. The path to peace is not easy, but India stands with you and the world for dialogue, peace, and stability in the region.
