A Ukrainian drone targeted an industrial site in Russia’s Udmurt Republic. According to local Health Minister Sergei Bagin, 11 people were injured in the attack, three of whom were hospitalized. The attack has become a serious security challenge for the region. A Russian Telegram channel claimed the attack targeted the Votkinsk Machine-Building Plant, a major state-owned defense plant that produces Iskander ballistic missiles and nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missiles. The plant is located approximately 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine.

Local residents shared images of black smoke and damaged buildings. According to a Telegram channel, residents heard at least three explosions and a drone-like sound overnight. Airports in the surrounding region, including the main airport in the city of Izhevsk, have temporarily suspended operations following the incident, Russia’s civil aviation agency, Rosaviatsia, confirmed.
Russia’s security agency, the FSB, has stated that data related to soldiers is being leaked through the Telegram app, endangering their security. Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved a law that gives mobile operators the authority to block internet services at the FSB’s request. This step is aimed at strengthening Russia’s security system.
