Bhopal. The Madhya Pradesh government has presented the budget for the financial year 2026-27. Finance Minister Jagdish Devda presented the budget on the third day in the Assembly. Since it is an agricultural year, the budget will be dedicated to farmers. 28 percent of the population in the state is youth. There is a budget for the youth as well. The budget reflects three years of planning.
This is the 3rd budget of the Dr. Mohan Yadav govt and the seventh budget presented by Devda as finance minister. Devda stated that the aim of the government is to provide work for every hand.
The finance minister said that the government aims to employ the youth. He called it a budget that realises the Prime Minister’s vision. “Justice for every woman is our government’s goal. We are the country’s third youngest state. Our commitment is that every youth gets work,” he added.
Finance Minister explained in the House that poverty is measured not only by income but also by health and sanitation. There is transparency in debt management and financial management.
What’s Included in the Budget
- A provision of Rs 23,882 crore has been made for the Ladli Behna Yojana.
- Rs 14,742 crore for irrigation projects.
- A provision of Rs 1,335 crore has been made for the Labour Department.
- The target is to provide 1 lakh solar pumps to farmers for Rs 3000 crore.
- Rs 21630 crore has been approved for the Chief Minister Majra-Tola Road Scheme.
- A provision of Rs 412 crore has been made for fish production.
- So far, 4 crore 61 lakh accounts have been opened under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.
- There is a budget provision of Rs 793 crore for the development of 11,277 villages in tribal areas.
- 1 crore 54 lakh registrations in Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana
- 3 crore 64 lakh registrations in Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana
- There are 46 lakh registrations in Atal Pension Yojana.
