Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has started the UP Board Exam 2026 on February 18, 2026. The examination will be held in two shifts- first shift from 8.30 am to 11.45 pm and second shift from 2 pm to 5.15 pm. The exam will begin on February 18 and will conclude on March 12, 2026. A total of 53,37,778 students have registered for the examination, which includes 27,61,696 class 10 and 25,76,082 class 12 students.

To accommodate the massive volume of candidates, the board has organized the testing into two distinct daily sessions. The first shift begins in the morning from 8:30 am to 11:45 am, primarily focusing on core high school subjects. The second shift follows in the afternoon, running from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm, largely dedicated to intermediate-level papers. This structured timing allows for smooth logistical transitions between the millions of students entering and exiting thousands of designated centers.

The scale of the 2026 exams is staggering. A total of 5,337,778 students have registered to sit for these critical life milestones. Breaking down the demographics, the enrollment includes 2,761,696 students for the High School (Class 10) exams and 2,576,082 students for the Intermediate (Class 12) exams. The sheer number of participants requires an unprecedented level of security and administrative oversight.
