Manendragarh: A Durga bus traveling from Janakpur to the Mahamaya Temple in Ratanpur met with an accident on Tuesday. The bus fell into a roadside ditch near the Nagpur railway station under the Podi police station area. At the time of the accident, the bus was carrying approximately 54 couples who were going to attend a wedding ceremony under the Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah Yojana. All passengers on the bus were injured in the accident.

The injured were immediately admitted to the Nagpur sub-health center, where they are undergoing treatment. It is a matter of relief that no one has lost their life in the incident, although several couples have been reported to have suffered serious injuries. 

According to reports, the incident occurred at Nagpur Chowki, within the jurisdiction of the Podi police station. The bus was speeding and lost control near the Nagpur railway station, landing in a roadside ditch. The driver and conductor disappeared from the scene after the accident, causing inconvenience to passengers.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police from the Podi police station and Nagpur Chowki arrived at the scene and began rescue and relief operations. Police have launched an investigation and are searching for the driver and conductor. This accident has also raised questions about administrative preparedness and the transportation system.
