Jaipur. A golden opportunity has arrived for the daughters of Rajasthan to pursue careers in defense and discipline. The state government is launching two new government-run girls’ military schools this semester. There is tremendous enthusiasm among students seeking admission to these schools, as evidenced by the fact that nearly 13,000 applications have been received for just 160 seats.

The schools, which are opening in Bikaner and Sikar, are facing fierce competition for admission to Class 6. On average, 72 female students are vying for one seat.

  • Date of Examination: The selection test will be conducted on 8 March 2026 at all district headquarters.
  • New Session: After completion of the admission process, the new academic session will start from 1st July 2026.
  • Error Correction: If there is any mistake in the application form, then the girl students can make the correction on the Shala Darpan portal from 1st to 5th February 2026.

Schools starting from this session (2026)

Currently, the admission process has started in only two girls’ military schools.

  • Bikaner (Jaymalsar): The building of ‘Rami Devi Ramnarayan Rathi Girls Military School’ spread over 30 acres is ready.
  • Sikar (Ralavat): ‘Maharao Shekhaji Girls Military School’ will be operational from this session.
  • Admission: The examination for a total of 160 seats in these two schools will be held on March 8.

Other schools proposed in the next phase

The government plans to open schools in all divisions of the state, for which the land allotment process has been completed:

  • Kota Division: 42 hectares of land has been allotted in Undwa of Ramganj Mandi.
  • Jodhpur Division: 30 acres of land has been allotted in the revenue village of Jaisalmer.
  • Ajmer Division: Construction is proposed on 30 acres of land in Hathi Kheda.
  • Bharatpur Division: 12 hectares of land has been allotted in Milkpur.
  • Jaipur Division: Construction will take place at Haldina in Alwar and land allotment is under process in Jaipur.
  • Udaipur Division: The process of land allotment is currently underway here.

Reservation and Admission Policy

Admission to these schools will be based on the state government’s current reservation policy. The Education Department has sought clear approval from the government regarding the reservation limit and rules, only after which the results and merit list will be released. Currently, Sainik Schools in Chittorgarh and Jhunjhunu are run by the central government, but these new schools will be completely under the state government.
