On Sunday, movement of traffic on various major roads in central Delhi would be controlled due to the conduction of the Indian Navy Half Marathon, the Delhi Traffic Police advised through an advisory. The massive event has been warning commuters of diversion and potential delays in the early morning hours.
It has been planned so that half a marathon will spread the culture of physical fitness, healthy living, and enhanced relationships between the armed forces and the general population. It is anticipated to have about 15,000 runners. Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium will mark off the event at 5 am on February 1.
The advisory stated that there will be traffic restrictions and diversions between 4.45 am and 9 am in the marathon routes.
