UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan India Visit: President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is coming to India today at the invitation of PM Narendra Modi. This is Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s third official visit to India after becoming President. This visit is considered another important milestone in India-UAE relations. Important talks are expected to take place on India-UAE major strategic partnership, trade, investment, energy and global issues during this visit.
This visit exemplifies the growing strategic trust between the two countries. There have been frequent high-level visits between India and the UAE in recent years. In September 2024, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and in April 2025, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defence Minister, visited India.
From the Indian side, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar visited Abu Dhabi from 13 to 15 December 2025, where he co-chaired the 16th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting and the 5th Strategic Dialogue. Prior to this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the UAE several times during late 2023 and 2024, including a historic visit in February 2024, when he inaugurated the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi. The leaders of the two countries also recently met during the G7 Summit in Italy in June 2024.
During the visit, Prime Minister Modi and President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed will review the progress of the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and discuss new areas of future cooperation. The two leaders are also expected to discuss regional and global issues. The visit is expected to provide new impetus to further strengthening trade, investment, energy, defense, and people-to-people contacts.
