He said his father died peacefully on the evening of January 15th in London, surrounded by family. He would have turned 100 in just a few months.
Lakshmi Mittal said that despite achieving great business success, his father remained grounded. He was very close to family and friends and believed in celebrating life’s moments, both big and small, together. He called regularly and made every effort to be present for birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and graduations.
Lakshmi Mittal said that her father was from the small village of Rajgarh in Rajasthan and was born into a very humble family. From childhood, he resolved to rise above his circumstances. He firmly believed in hard work and believed that the key to success was hard work. Even during his studies, he had a special interest in commerce.
