The terrific dance act of Tamannaah Bhatia in Aaj Ki Raat has become one of the major attractions of the horror-comedy Stree 2, and the song has now passed the mark of 1 billion views on YouTube. The pop hit had previously hit 500 million views and it is still immensely popular among listeners.
Tamannaah expressed her thanks to fans on Friday and overcome by the milestone, she went to Instagram to thank her fans. She posted clips taken behind the scenes during the shoot with the text, From 1st view to 1 Billion Views! Thank you for all the love.” The BTS videos allowed the fans a preview of the creation of the popular dance number that became one of the biggest discussions after the release of the film.
In a clip, Tamannaah is observed watching a shot on the monitor with choreographer Vijay Ganguly and the members of the crew. When Ganguly proposed to give the shot another attempt after complimenting on the shot, Tamannaah said nooo! in a joking manner which would make the team smile. In another clip, she is seen reciting a take with her co-actors and then moving aside to look at the end result.
Aaj Ki Raat is a seductive song in form of a dance which depicts the image of a woman attracting her lover but pleading with him to admire her but not to come too close. The song, sung by Madhubanti Bagchi and Divya Kumar, is a song based on the lyrics of Amitabh Bhattacharya and music by Sachin-Jigar. The song, as well as the accompanying music video, resonated with listeners.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is a movie that features Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. The movie would also become one of the biggest blockbusters of 2024, having earned almost ₹900 crore at the global level.
