Bhopal.  Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will visit Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on January 17th. He will meet with families affected by contaminated water. The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee has been informed of Rahul Gandhi’s visit. The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee is planning to organize a special protest and a mass fast in every block of the state on the same day. 

During this event, Congress leaders will stage a sit-in in front of Gandhi statues and sing hymns to protest the central government’s policies. Specifically, the renaming of the MNREGA scheme will be criticized by the Modi government, and tributes will be paid at the block level to those killed in the Indore water tragedy.  

23 People Died due to Contaminated Water.

It is noteworthy that 23 people have died so far due to contaminated water in Indore. Many patients are still fighting for their lives in the ICU. On January 11th, the MP Congress organized a Nyay Yatra in Indore. Congress MLAs, former MLAs, state officials, and district presidents from Indore and surrounding areas participated in the Yatra. PCC Chief Jitu Patwari, Umang Singhar, and Digvijay Singh, along with several senior leaders, were present.
