Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make a three day visit to Gujarat between January 10 and January 12 where he is to do a religious, cultural, developmental, and also the diplomatic work.

As per an official Press Information Bureau (PIB) statement, the Prime Minister will start his visit on the evening of January 10 arriving in Somnath at approximately 8 pm. After reaching there he will participate in the process of chanting the Omkar Mantra at its holy temple called Somnath. A special drone show will commence and it will be the start of the celebrations of the Somnath Swabhiman Parv.

January 11 PM Modi will also be attending Shaurya Yatra around 9.45 am. The procession is based on the ceremonial to appreciate the heroism and sacrifices of warriors who sacrificed their lives in the mission to save the historic Somnath temple. The Prime Minister will also pray at the Somnath temple some time after the yatra at around 10:15 am. After that, he will visit a social gathering where the Somnath Swabhiman Parv would be celebrated at 11 am.

Later in afternoon PM Modi will be visiting Rajkot to participate in the Kutch and Saurashtra region Regional Conference, Vibrant Gujarat. He will open the trade show and exhibition at approximately 1:30 pm and then there will be the opening of Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Marwadi University. There will also be an opportunity to speak to the industry players, entrepreneurs, and event participants by the Prime Minister.

Later in the evening PM Modi will also visit Ahmedabad where he will air the rest of Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro project. The ceremony opening will also be held in the Mahatma mandir metro station which is planned to commence at 5.15 pm. This stage links stations between Sector 10A and Mahatma Mandir and this will enhance the urban connectivity in the area.
