Bijapur. On Saturday, soldiers launched a major offensive against Maoists in the Bastar division of Chhattisgarh. Encounters between Naxalites and soldiers took place in the Bijapur and Sukma areas. Security forces achieved significant success in both operations. In Bijapur, the bodies of two Naxalites and weapons were recovered from the encounter site. Meanwhile, 12 Naxalites were killed in the Sukma encounter.

DRG soldiers have wreaked havoc on Naxalites in the Kistaram area of ​​Sukma. In a search operation, the soldiers achieved significant success, killing several Naxalites, including DVCM Mangdu. According to reports, 12 Naxalites were killed in the encounter in the Kistaram area. An I-47 and an INSAS rifle were recovered from the encounter site, along with the bodies of all 12 Naxalites.

2 Naxalites killed in Bijapur Encounter

An encounter between security forces and Naxalites has been ongoing since Saturday morning in the Naxal-affected Bijapur region. In a major breakthrough, DRG personnel killed two Maoists. Their bodies have been recovered. Intermittent exchanges of fire continue. A search operation is underway in the area.

According to reports, information was received about the presence of armed Maoists in the southern region of Bijapur district, following which soldiers launched a search operation. The DRG team was on an operation in the South Bastar region. During this operation, an encounter broke out between the DRG and Maoists. The encounter has been ongoing intermittently since 5 am. Soldiers are continuing their search operation in the area. So far, the bodies of two Maoists have been recovered from the encounter site. Bijapur SP Dr. Jitendra Yadav confirmed the incident.
