Maharashtra Civic Body Elections Result 2025: The results of Maharashtra Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections are coming today. It is considered to be a direct contest between the BJP-led Maha Yuti and the Maha Vikas Aghadi. The dominance of Mahayuti is being seen in the 246 Municipal Council and 42 Nagar Panchayat elections of Maharashtra. On the other hand, the Maha Vikas Aghadi is nowhere to be seen in the field. Only the Congress is seen doing a little. The condition of Uddhav Thackeray lead the Shiv Sena fraction is bad.
In the initial trends of 246 Municipal Council and 42 Nagar Panchayat elections of Maharashtra, BJP is emerging as the largest party. In the initial trends, BJP is leading on 122, Shiv Sena on 54 and NCP on 35. This means that more than 200 candidates of Mahayuti are moving towards victory. Whereas in this election, only 49 candidates of Mahavikas Aghadi are ahead in the trends. In this, Congress is ahead on 32, Shiv Sena UBT on 9 and NCP SP on 8. The parties have also started releasing the list of their winning candidates.

BJP candidate Sunil Kavnekar clinched the Chandgad Nagar Panchayat Presidency, bolstering the party’s footprint in this competitive 17-seat arena. BJP’s Mangalrao Malge was elected Mayor of Hupari Municipal Council, where Mahayuti leads overall. Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena tops Jaysingpur Municipal Council (26 seats), Mahayuti surges in Gadhinglaj (22 seats), and Ajit Pawar-led NCP commands Kagal (23 seats).
The BJP has won the Sawantwadi Municipal Council in the Sindhudurg Municipality elections in Maharashtra. Shraddharaje Bhosale, a member of the royal family, has won the mayoral post, a move considered a major setback for Deepak Kesarkar. The BJP has secured power in Deepak Kesarkar’s stronghold, with Shraddharaje Bhosale defeating Nita Kavitkar of the Shinde Sena, sparking celebrations within the BJP.
