Bhopal: Dense fog has disrupted normal life in northern Madhya Pradesh. Fog has enveloped nearly 20 districts, including the Gwalior-Chambal, Rewa, and Sagar divisions, with visibility dropping to just 50 meters in many areas. The cold has also increased, with minimum temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius recorded in many districts.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for several districts, including Gwalior, Bhind, and Morena, while a yellow alert has been issued for Jabalpur, Katni, and Shahdol. Fog is expected to persist until 10 a.m. The fog is most severe in the morning and late at night, disrupting road, rail, and air traffic.

- Orange Alert: Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur etc.
- Yellow alert: Jabalpur, Katni, Shahdol, Singrauli etc. Fog and cold are more prevalent in a total of 20 districts.
Fog Disrupts Transportation in MP
Due to dense fog, many trains arriving from northern India are running late. Important trains, including the Shatabdi Express, Malwa Express, and Punjab Mail, are affected. Delays range from 30 minutes to 8 hours. Trains arriving from Delhi to Bhopal, Gwalior, and Indore are the most delayed.
Flights from Indore to Delhi and Mumbai are being affected by fog. Many flights are being delayed or cancelled. Passengers are advised to contact their airlines for the latest updates.
