The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday named Bihar cabinet minister Nitin Nabin as National Working President of the party, which is a major organisational step in view of major political developments to be made.
The BJP in an official statement said that the party Parliamentary Board took up the decision. The statement has said that Nitin Nabin, Cabinet Minister in Bihar Government has been appointed by the Parliamentary Board of the Bharatiya Janata Party as the National Working President of the party.
Nitin Nabin is a high profile BJP leader of Bihar who is a cabinet minister in the state government. There are also his organisational skills and experience in administration, and he has attained various significant roles in the party throughout time. His promotion is also being regarded as an attempt to enhance the organisational set up and co-ordination of the BJP between the central leadership and the units in the state.
According to the party sources, the position of the National Working President is to coordinate the daily organisational activities, in addition to helping the national leadership in implementing the policies, and to ensure that the organisational activities of the party run smoothly in different states.
