Shivpuri: A large test balloon crashed in Khyabada village, located in the district’s Sirsaud police station area, on Saturday morning, causing a stir among villagers. The balloon reportedly belonged to the DRDO and was launched from Agra for weather testing. Thankfully, no one was aboard.

Upon receiving the information, the Sirsaud police station arrived at the scene, seized the balloon, and informed the administration. Shortly after, an army team also arrived in the village, inspected the balloon, and took it to Sheopur.

Balloons are part of the regular weather testing process.

According to villagers, the balloon landed in the tomato field of Sunil Rawat, a farmer in Khayabada village, causing minor damage to his crop. The sudden fall of the balloon in the field caused some panic among the people nearby. According to administrative sources, the balloon was part of a routine weather testing process, and its fall posed no danger. Further action will be taken after an investigation.
