Jabalpur: The Central GST Department has conducted raids in Madhya Pradesh. They raided four locations simultaneously. It is being reported that this action was taken due to the suspicion of GST evasion worth crores. Currently, the GST team is recovering documents from all locations and conducting investigations.
Central GST conducted raids at four places in MP. Under the leadership of GST Commissioner Lokesh Kumar Lilhare, Khandelwal Traders, a copper wire trader, located at Baldev Bagh in Jabalpur, was raided. A large quantity of unregistered/undeclared copper wire was recovered from there. A raid was conducted at Kachnar Club and Resort located in Vijay Nagar. GST evasion of huge amount is estimated. Input tax credit was being availed at Aaransh Agrotech located in Baldev Bagh without the actual supply of goods. Input tax credit was availed with the help of fake bills without the import or export of goods.
Kunal Industries, Pandhurna, was also raided. It is being reported that the investigation into sales and purchase documents, stock registers, and production-related documents is ongoing. Currently, the GST team is investigating the documents recovered from all locations. Major revelations are expected following the investigation.
