The Deol family immersed late legendary actor Dharmendra’s ashes in the Ganga at Haridwar on Wednesday morning with proper rituals amid tight security. The Deol family performed the ritual at Pilibhit House in Haridwar, a 100-year-old mansion on the banks of the Ganges, to perform Asthi Visarjan. Videos of Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Karan Deol and other members of the family getting emotional as they immersed Dharmendra’s ashes at a VIP ghat have surfaced online.

The video shows the Deol family members dressed in white robes. They were seen visibly emotional as they immersed Dharmendra’s ashes and were also seen hugging each other. The rest of the family was seen here during this time. Karan Deol himself performed the main immersion ceremony. The actor’s family arrived at the Pilibhit House ghat in Haridwar’s Shravan Nath Nagar area around 11:00 a.m. today, where Dharmendra’s ashes were immersed in the Ganges according to religious rites in the presence of priests.

Actor Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, in Mumbai. Exactly five days later, on December 8th, would have been Dharmendra’s 90th birthday, but the actor passed away before he could celebrate his birthday. Following Dharmendra’s death, the Deol family organized a prayer meeting in Mumbai, attended by numerous industry stars.

Two prayer meets were organised after the actor’s death — one by Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol’s family, sons from Dharmendra’s first wife Prakash Kaur, and the second prayer meet was organised by his second wife Hema Malini and their daughters Esha and Ahana Deol.
