Delhi Bomb Blast Case: As the investigation into the Delhi bomb blast progresses, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken major action in the Delhi bomb blast case. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Maulana Qasmi, the Imam of Bilali Mosque in Uttarakhand. According to sources, the police have taken him to Delhi for further investigation. The NIA has already made 8 arrests in this entire case.

Maulana Mohammad Asim Qasmi, who leads prayers at Haldwani’s Bilal mosque along with his associate was detained by the NIA during a late night raid by the agency sleuths at the mosque on Friday. The duo was taken to Delhi for questioning by the NIA.

Sources said that Qasmi and his associate were released by the NIA late Saturday night after hours of questioning. His mobile phone and laptop have been confiscated by the central probe agency for further examination, added the sources.

In fact, while examining the call details of Dr. Umar, the terrorist involved in the Delhi bomb blast case, his connection was found to be linked to the Banbhulpura area in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. Late Friday night, a team from the Delhi Police Special Team along with the LIU Delhi raided Banbhulpura and detained the Imam of the Bilali Mosque. For security reasons, police forces are deployed in Bilali Mosque and other sensitive areas. Intensive checking is also being conducted by the police in many areas of the city.

On Saturday morning, SP City Manoj Kumar Katyal, CO Lalkuan Deepshikha Agarwal, and a large police force arrived in Bangbhulpura. The sudden presence of such a large police force has led locals to speculate. Police have maintained tight security at the Bilali Mosque and the nearby Imam’s residence. However, security agencies have not yet issued any statement regarding the Imam’s role in the Delhi blasts.

On November 10, 2025, a car bombing near Red Fort in Delhi killed 15 people and injured many others. Investigations by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Delhi Police have determined it to be a terrorist attack linked to organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed. The main accused, Dr. Umar Un Nabi, is believed to be the suicide bomber.
