It is a day to celebrate in Madhya Pradesh in the midst of farmers. On Wednesday (26 November), Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will make a direct deposit of 253 crore in the bank accounts of over 1.52 lakh farmers in the Bhavantar Payment Scheme of the state. The mega, state-wide event will be held at 1 PM in Gautampura, which is the seat of Depalpur Assembly of the Indore district.

In the morning, the Chief Minister will reach Indore and go to the venue in a grand roadshow in which thousands of farmers of the Malwanchal region are likely to be present. The event is an exercise aimed at making sure that the promised financial assistance of the scheme of Bhavantar comes to the responsible farm holders. Dr. Mohan Yadav will initiate the transfer physically through the stage with the payment sent to the farmers at the touch of a button.

The ex-cheques of ₹253 crore will favor the farmers who sold their crops (paddy, maize, soybean, moong, and urad) between the given time frame by the government. The Bhavantar Payment Scheme is a scheme that is to compensate farmers in case the market price is lower than the government-stated minimum support price, in order to get just value of their produce.

The Chief Minister Yadav stated that this initiative demonstrates high intentions of the state government to increase the income of farmers. He pointed out that with the prime-minister Narendra Modi in office, Madhya Pradesh is quickly on the road to achieving the objective of doubling the income of farmers. The present day program is one more step in the same way, he said.

State Agriculture Minister, local MPs and MLAs, and senior administrative officials would also be present in the event. Thousands of farmers assembled to observe and take part in the disbursement ceremony, and the government hopes to further support the agro-community and emphasize the current activities to improve the livelihoods of the rural population.
