The Indian women’s kabaddi team clinched Kabaddi World Cup trophy on Monday, beating Chinese Taipei in the final. Indian women won 35-28 against Chinese Taipei in the final in Dhaka. With this, it becomes the second women’s team to clinch the World Cup this year, not to miss India’s women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
The Indian team’s performance was excellent throughout the tournament. India also won the semi-finals against Iran 33-21. Eleven countries participated in the tournament. This is the second consecutive occasion when the Indian team has proven its superiority by winning this competition.
Indian Prime Minister congratulated the team and wrote on X, “Congratulations to our Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team for making the nation proud by winning the Kabaddi World Cup 2025! They have showcased outstanding grit, skills and dedication. Their victory will inspire countless youngsters to pursue Kabaddi, dream bigger and aim higher”.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav congratulated and wished the Indian women’s kabaddi team on winning the Kabaddi World Cup 2025. Dr. Yadav said that this historic victory will give new wings to the strength, courage and possibilities of countless young daughters. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that hearty congratulations to all the players of the Indian women’s team who made the country proud on the world stage by winning the Kabaddi World Cup.
India has performed in great form throughout the tournament. They won all their group matches to reach the semi-finals, where they defeated Iran 33-21 to enter the final. Chinese Taipei also had an unbeaten run in their group and beat hosts Bangladesh 25-18 in the semi-final.
