A Tejas fighter jet of Indian Air Force (IAF) has been reported to have crashed in flight demonstration in the Dubai Air Show, which made spectators and organisers apprehensive. The incident took place at 2.10 pm local time just a few minutes after the aircraft started the aerobatic manoeuvres. A huge column of black smoke was observed coming out of the crash site at the Al Maktoum International Airport where the grand air show is taking place.
The news is that firstly it was not immediately reported whether the pilot managed to eject before crashing or not. Emergency response teams were rushing to the spot, and firefighting soldiers were present to suppress the flames generated because of the strike. This is the second accident in which a Tejas aircraft is involved since the jet was commissioned into the Indian Air Force.
