Mumbai: After a nine-year hiatus, the iconic comedic trio of Riteish Deshmukh (Amar), Vivek Oberoi (Meet), and Aftab Shivdasani (Prem) reunited on the silver screen today for Mastiii 4. The genre of adult comedy was still new in the country, but the storyline and the hilarious performances left a lasting impact on audiences. 21 years later, the iconic trio returned to the silver screen today as Meet, Prem and Amar with the fourth instalment in the franchise, titled Mastiii 4

Famous film critic, Taran Adarsh also shared a video of a successful event from Jaipur.

The plot — a pursuit of a “Love Visa” that is barely explained and rarely justified — is less important than the opportunities it creates for the trio to dismantle their own lives with elaborate confidence.” The review further read, “Zaveri’s screenplay is still absurd, but it now observes continuity.

Despite the mixed reactions, the film is an unapologetic entertainer for its specific target audience, aiming squarely for mass appeal and single-screen centres. Early box office predictions suggest an underwhelming opening in the ₹2–3 crore range, indicating that Mastiii 4‘s ultimate success will heavily depend on positive word-of-mouth throughout the weekend to match the highs of Grand Masti.

The highly anticipated fourth instalment of the adult comedy franchise that began with the super-hit Masti in 2004. The big question was whether the film could recapture the success of the 2013 blockbuster Grand Masti or succumb to the fate of its 2016 predecessor, Great Grand Masti, which tanked at the box office.
